Round Steak Casserole
½ pound lean ground steak
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 number 2 can of baked beans
1 medium onion, sliced thin
2/3 cup catsup or chili sauce
½ cup brown sugar
2 or 3 slices bacon, partially cooked to remove surplus fat
➔Mix well; saute in a small amount of bacon drippings until brown.
Place meat, beans, onions, chili sauce and brown sugar in alternate layers
in buttered casserole until all ingredients are used. Place Bacon on top
of last layer in casserole. Bake (350F) for 30 – 40 minutes. 4 to 6 servings.
